Job Overview:
An authority in membrane technology and science, contributing to the development and application of:
- Gas separation membranes
- CO2 & H2S separation membranes

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and comprehend customer inquiries and technical specifications.
- Design membrane process equipment and process packages tailored for the oil and gas sector.
- Execute process engineering tasks throughout project execution phases.
- Operate independently with minimal oversight.

Membrane Technology Expertise:
- Comprehensive experience spanning from the principles of membrane science to practical applications in gas separations.
- Hands-on expertise in hollow-fiber membranes and the fabrication of membrane modules at both pilot and production scales.
- Extensive background in developing membrane applications, conducting process evaluations, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Proficient in scouting for new membrane technologies, evaluating innovations, benchmarking, and acquisitions.
- Capable of managing diverse membrane research projects in collaboration with industrial and academic partners.
- Developed multistage membrane systems utilizing compression for optimal efficiency and performance.
- Skilled in defining alternative technology pathways, process optimization, and economic evaluations.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assess customer inquiries and specifications to determine the most suitable process or equipment design.
- Create equipment designs that align with specifications or clearly outline any deviations.
- Present technical proposals that detail the scope of supply, equipment performance, warranty, and delivery timelines, enhancing SLB's competitive position.
- Generate deliverables for cost estimation, design engineering, and drafting.
- Lead the creation of project process deliverables, including Heat & Material Balance, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment datasheets.
- Ensure document consistency and that all changes are reflected across relevant documents.
- Confirm adherence to customer purchase orders regarding technical and process requirements.
- Conduct complex process simulations using SLB-defined software.
- Review and comment on intricate PFDs and P&IDs, and perform walk-downs on fabricated equipment.
- Execute equipment process design and sizing, including line sizing calculations for various fluid types.
- Provide process information to instrumentation engineers and assist in selecting control valves and measurement instruments.
- Generate Control Narrative and Control Philosophy documents, defining alarm and trip set points.
- Participate in or lead HAZOP studies and other safety assessments.
- Prepare technical requisitions for procurement of equipment such as heat exchangers and pumps.
- Produce Installation, Operating, and Maintenance Instruction manuals, including lists for consumables and special tools.
- Conduct final reviews of Project Job Manuals and peer reviews of design work.
- Offer technical support for troubleshooting and perform on-site start-up assistance.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and selecting process equipment for the oil and gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge of national and international codes and standards for oil field process equipment design and installation.
- Proficient in process equipment design and sizing, with hands-on experience in field start-up and troubleshooting.
- Clear understanding of various raw material types and selection criteria.
- Candidates must be eligible to work and reside in the US without sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits:
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.

- Self-motivated, organized, and confident, with good communication skills at all business levels.
- This position may require travel within the Americas or internationally, involving project support and client interaction.
