Job SummaryWe are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibility will be to care for patients undergoing dialysis treatment, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Measure and record patient statistics, including vital signs and laboratory results
- Set up and operate hemodialysis machines, ensuring proper function and safety
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
