Overview

Hamilton Mill Animal Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary support staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and training to medical support staff in the operation of a small animal facility, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to patients, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing skills.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and clients, demonstrating patience and composure in stressful situations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical, client, and case-related information.
  • Participate in client care, including scheduling appointments, taking payments, and checking in clients.
  • Answer phones in a courteous and informative manner, providing feedback and changes to the training program as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • State Department of Regulation Licensing required.
  • 1+ Years of Veterinary industry experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker.
  • Ability to endure sitting, standing, and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment.
