Job Overview

BMW of Bridgeport is seeking a dedicated Inventory Manager to oversee our vehicle inventory operations within the Sales division. This role is pivotal in managing all aspects of vehicle inventory and serves as the primary connection between the sales and service departments regarding inventory vehicles.

The Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are properly received, accounted for, and undergo monthly audits. Success in this position requires a process-driven mindset, strong work ethic, excellent multitasking abilities, meticulous attention to detail, effective time management skills, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting and verifying all new vehicle inventory upon arrival from transport.
  • Entering all new and pre-owned vehicles into the Dealer Management System.
  • Creating necessary documentation such as stock-in folders, key tags, and stock tags.
  • Managing key entries within the key tracking system.
  • Registering Pre-Owned BMWs in BMW's Pre-Owned Inventory system and certain vehicles in the CPO Program.
  • Conducting weekly cleanses of Pre-Owned Inventory systems to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Utilizing the Rapid Recon System to facilitate the reconditioning process of pre-owned vehicles.
  • Coordinating transportation arrangements for Pre-Owned vehicles through the Central Dispatch system.
  • Preparing all paperwork for Internal Service Repair Orders for the Sales Department.
  • Overseeing Inventory Management, including audits and vehicle book/key library.
  • Managing the inventory of wheel locks used on vehicles.
  • Conducting weekly audits of new vehicle photographs to ensure all vehicles are documented.
  • Acting as the Dealer Trade Liaison, handling all necessary paperwork and vehicle preparations.
  • Managing off-lease acquisition opportunities and presenting them to the Used Car Department.
  • Overseeing Lease End Servicing Management and Lease to Retail Purchase paperwork.
