Mozaic Senior Life is seeking a skilled Therapeutic Recreation Music Therapist to join our team. As a Therapeutic Recreation Music Therapist, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting therapeutic recreation activities to enhance the sensory motor, cognitive, and psychosocial skills of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement group activities and one-to-one sessions to promote resident engagement and skill development.
- Document resident assessments, progress notes, attendance, and discharge summaries in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Input MDS/care plan data and participate in RCP meetings to ensure resident care plans are up-to-date and effective.
- Transport residents to and from activity areas, prepare activity spaces, and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Drive company vehicles as required for outings and participate in staff meetings to stay informed and engaged.
- Exhibit leadership qualities, mentor residents, and engage them in recreation programs.
- Facilitate group process, manage interpersonal needs, and assess and document resident progress.
- Participate in resident community outings, ensuring resident safety and well-being.
- Maintain necessary credentials to provide music therapy to residents.
- Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy
- No experience necessary, but a valid driver's license is required
- Ability to handle multiple demands and deadlines, read and communicate effectively, and utilize various software packages
