Position Title: Community Living Supervisor

SUMMARY
The Community Living Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the scheduling of direct care personnel. This role involves managing more than 50% of scheduled hours in an indirect capacity, with less than 50% dedicated to providing direct support to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. The supervisor will implement behavioral and habilitative programs while fostering community integration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collaborate with the CRS Coordinator/Manager to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (DDS and CARF).
2. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational integrity of the home, vehicles, and agency equipment, including conducting monthly vehicle inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
3. Ensure that vehicle insurance and registration are current and stored in the vehicle.
4. Participate in on-call duties for Marrakech residences as scheduled.
5. Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the CRS Policy Manual and all other agency protocols.
6. Supervise all direct care staff while receiving guidance from the CRS site Coordinator/Manager.
7. Assist in regular meetings with the assigned Behaviorist and Nurse to address residential concerns.
8. Help manage individual finances and petty cash, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
9. Complete the monthly Facility Safety and Infection Control Checklist in collaboration with the Coordinator/Manager.
10. Support the Coordinator/Manager in keeping individual data forms updated and attend individual PST/IP meetings.
11. Assist in conducting site visits for potential new hires and orienting new employees and substitutes.
12. Maintain the physical environment and report any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
13. Implement daily schedules for programs that include life skills and community recreation.
14. Respond to agency on-call pages promptly and in accordance with policy.
15. Ensure that incidents are reported according to policy using the designated reporting system within 24 hours.
16. Coordinate the medical and emotional needs of individuals, including medication administration and medical appointments.
17. Provide nutritious meals, overseeing all aspects of food shopping and meal preparation while adhering to dietary guidelines.
18. Facilitate teamwork in achieving individual program goals and provide direct care, including medical, dietary, hygienic, and behavioral support.
19. Document case notes, communication logs, and all required reports accurately.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Understanding of human systems and their interactions, particularly for individuals with developmental disabilities.
2. Skills in identifying opportunities that promote growth and goal attainment for individuals.
3. Ability to implement effective interventions tailored to individual needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- An Associate's degree in Human Services, Special Education, or a related field, or equivalent experience working with individuals with disabilities in community-based settings.
- A high school diploma/GED with one year of residential experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Valid CT Driver's license and relevant certifications (DDS Medication Certification, PMT, First Aid) as required.

SCHEDULE
Full-time position with a structured schedule.
