Job Overview

BMW of Bridgeport is seeking a dedicated Inventory Manager to oversee the management of vehicle stock within the Sales division. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the sales and service departments regarding inventory vehicles. The Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are properly received, accounted for, and that inventory audits are conducted monthly.

To thrive in this position, candidates should possess a strong process-oriented mindset, a high level of work ethic, excellent multitasking abilities, meticulous attention to detail, effective time management skills, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting and documenting all new vehicle inventory upon arrival from transport.
  • Inputting all new and pre-owned vehicles into the Dealer Management System.
  • Creating and managing stock-in folders, key tags, and stock tags.
  • Maintaining the key tracking system by entering keys appropriately.
  • Registering Pre-Owned BMWs in BMW's Pre-Owned Inventory system and certain vehicles in BMW's CPO Program.
  • Regularly updating Pre-Owned Inventory systems to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Utilizing the Rapid Recon System to facilitate the reconditioning process of pre-owned vehicles.
  • Coordinating transportation arrangements for Pre-Owned vehicles through the Central Dispatch system.
  • Preparing all necessary paperwork for Internal Service Repair Orders within the Sales Department.
  • Conducting Inventory Management tasks, including audits and maintaining the Vehicle Book/key Library.
  • Overseeing the management of wheel lock inventory for vehicles on hand.
  • Performing weekly audits of New Vehicle photographs to ensure all vehicles are documented.
  • Acting as the Dealer Trade Liaison, managing paperwork and vehicle preparation for trades.
  • Managing off-lease acquisition opportunities and presenting them to the Used Car Department.
  • Handling Lease End Servicing Management and Lease to Retail Purchase paperwork.
