Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing and adhering to field Standard Operating Procedures in daily tasks.
  • Possessing knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and practices.

  • Managing and documenting all daily job site activities.
  • Directing project personnel according to the project plan and under the guidance of the Field Manager.

  • Communicating daily with the Field Manager regarding issues, events, performance, and job progress.
  • Seeking advice and assistance from the Field Manager and/or Project Manager regarding materials, scheduling, and personnel.
  • Building effective working relationships with the entire team.

Pre-construction Duties

  • Reviewing the company job binder with the Field Manager to understand the schedule, scope of work, approved colors, and finishes.
  • Conducting walkthroughs of new projects with the Field Manager before work begins.
  • Reviewing the construction schedule with the Field Manager to ensure understanding of start dates and duration of tasks.

Scheduling Responsibilities

  • Weekly review of the three-week look-ahead schedule with the Project Manager.
  • Assisting the Field Manager with employee schedule adjustments based on job manpower needs.
  • Reporting employee requests for time off to the HR department in advance.
  • Documenting any instances of tardiness among employees daily.

Site Management Duties

  • Overseeing the project crew to ensure tasks are completed on time and according to plan; notifying the Field Manager of any issues.
  • Understanding the distinction between regular work and additional work, obtaining approval from the Field Manager before proceeding.
  • Ordering materials in advance to ensure availability on-site.
  • Training, evaluating, and supervising team members.
  • Managing employee performance and quality control to meet company standards.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Conducting daily site inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and the project-specific safety plan.

Quality Management Duties

  • Familiarizing oneself with the Quality Management Process and assisting the team with its implementation.
  • Participating in weekly subcontractor meetings and reporting any issues to the Field Manager.
  • Reviewing and addressing any concerns from the weekly job meeting regarding the three-week look-ahead schedule.

Administrative Management Duties

  • Submitting and uploading progress photos weekly.
  • Reporting employee issues to the HR department for further review.
  • Documenting employee hours using designated templates.
  • Enforcing company policies to maintain a respectful and safe work environment.
  • Documenting all on-site materials and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance of tools.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to navigate the job site, including climbing ladders and traversing uneven surfaces.
  • Capacity to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings and while performing computer work.
  • Must have reliable transportation to job sites.
