Job Title: Metering Supervisor

Job Summary

The Metering Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment, meters, and data acquisition systems associated with customer facilities. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Boston, MA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with company operating and safety procedures, and instruct employees to use safety equipment as needed.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and identify and correct or report on unsafe conditions in work areas.
  • Prepare estimates, PARs, and technical engineering requests for metering installations and upgrades.
  • Plan, schedule, and implement daily metering activities, prioritizing based on customer needs.
  • Provide on-the-job training for employees in safety and job development.
  • Communicate timely and relevant information to management, direct reports, and others as situations necessitate.
  • Review metering data reports, identify problem areas, and suggest or develop problem solutions.
  • Interface with employees in other departments, customers, other utilities, government agency representatives, and the public.
  • Assure proper maintenance of all assigned customer services, non-customer piping systems, and equipment located on department trucks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field working with I&C and/or metering systems.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Maximo or CMMS system experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must submit to a company-provided pre-employment physical and drug screening.
  • Standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, walking on uneven surfaces, and grating, working from elevated platforms, scaffolding, or ladders, required to lift up to and including 50 pounds.
  • Must qualify to wear a respirator.
  • Exposed to temperature extremes, high noise level areas, high pressure steam lines, rotating equipment, and dusty/dirty environment.
  • Required to wear PPE such as a hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection.
