Cardiac Rhythm Specialist

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Rhythm Specialist is responsible for monitoring and analyzing cardiac rhythms in the Central Monitoring Room. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex cardiac rhythms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admit patients into the system and enter relevant patient information.
- Verify patient telemetry transmitters and complete verification with RNs.
- Complete necessary paperwork and file documents accurately.
- Analyze and document patient rhythm strips upon admission and every 8 hours.
- Notify nurses of rhythm changes and abnormalities.
- Maintain vigilance at all times and recognize situations requiring Rapid Response or Code Blue.
- Disinfect telemetry transmitters after each use and perform equipment maintenance.
- Document lead, regularity, atrial rate, and other relevant cardiac rhythm information.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Course and MST orientation.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn LGH computer programs.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
- Successful completion of annual competency assessment for cardiac rhythm interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cardiac rhythm analysis or telemetry.
- CPR certification.
- Ability to complete data entry on clinical documentation screens.
