Telemetry Technician

The Cardiac Rhythm Specialist is responsible for continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication with nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Admit patients into the telemetry system and enter relevant patient information.
- Verify patient assignments and complete necessary paperwork.
- Analyze and document cardiac rhythm strips, notifying nursing staff of any abnormalities.
- Recognize and respond to critical cardiac rhythms, including lethal and malignant arrhythmias.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient cardiac rhythms.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cardiac rhythm interpretation techniques and technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the Dysrhythmia Course and MST orientation.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in telemetry or cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- CPR certification and ability to complete data entry on clinical documentation screens.
