About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Computer Support Specialist to join our team at the Rockefeller University. As a key member of our Service Desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our campus community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff the IT help desk in-person, phone, and remotely using advanced support tools.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related network and OS issues.
  • Perform break/fix of hardware and software, including OS, network, and applications.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to deliver and support all IT services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree.
  • At least one year of experience with setup and troubleshooting of Apple and Windows devices, and related network and OS support.
  • Experience with break/fix for mobile devices (iOS and Android).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with customers and IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (such as Ubuntu or Rocky).
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
  • Experience with Jamf, SCCM/Intune.
