Job Title: Mental Health Therapist 2

Marion County Health & Human Services is seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist 2 to provide services to Adults in Custody (AIC) and as a Brief Resource Enhancement and Support (BRES) Clinician. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, and at least one year of full-time experience in the behavioral health field.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessments and treatment of individuals and families, including groups, and crisis intervention services.
  • Screen referrals to the BRES program for appropriateness and provide intake evaluation, set service goals for clients' time in the program.
  • Connect clients with community services, including benefits, community case management, community counseling, alcohol and drug programs, vocational resources, medical resources, and ongoing medication.
  • Provide BRES Brief Counseling for clients on a limited, as-needed basis and provide community outreach as needed.
  • Participate in diversion program meetings weekly and provide case reviews of BRES clients.
  • Provide weekly mental health groups to participants of Lotus House.
  • Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team as appropriate in the evaluation of consumers' mental health and behavioral recovery, addiction recovery, and physical safety.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon.
  • At least one year of full-time experience in the behavioral health field for Mental Health Therapist 2.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LCSW, CSWA, or eligible for LCSW licensure.
