Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician II to become an integral part of our Maintenance Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, installation, and troubleshooting of various industrial machinery and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose equipment issues through careful observation and the use of precision measuring tools.
  • Assist fellow maintenance staff with both urgent and routine repairs.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related control systems.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Perform chemical testing for boilers and wastewater pre-treatment systems, documenting results and making necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct safety inspections on boilers and execute repairs as needed.
  • Examine motors, belts, and fluid levels, replacing filters and performing maintenance tasks as per established procedures.
  • Engage in basic welding tasks to repair facilities and equipment.
  • Inspect, clean, and lubricate various equipment components according to technical manuals.
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System for tracking and reporting.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • A two-year technical degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment is essential.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in repairing industrial processing equipment in a production setting is required.
  • Successful completion of UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment is necessary for employment eligibility.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in reading maintenance literature in English is required.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office are necessary.
  • Experience with Lockout/Tagout procedures is essential.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed is required, along with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Capability to lift up to 80 lbs is necessary.
