As a key member of the Maintenance Department, your responsibilities will include the repair, upkeep, installation, and troubleshooting of various industrial machinery, systems, and components. Your Responsibilities:
- Diagnose equipment issues through careful observation and the use of precision measuring and testing tools.
- Assist fellow maintenance staff with both urgent and routine repairs.
- Identify and rectify issues with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related control systems.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, operation manuals, and engineering specifications.
- Conduct testing on boiler chemicals and wastewater pre-treatment systems, documenting results and making necessary adjustments.
- Perform regular safety inspections on boilers and execute repairs as needed.
- Examine motors, belts, fluid levels, and replace filters while adhering to maintenance protocols.
- Engage in basic welding tasks to repair facilities and equipment.
- Inspect, clean, and lubricate equipment components according to established procedures.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System for tracking and reporting.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications:
What We Seek:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- A two-year technical degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old.
- Experience in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment is essential.
- A minimum of one year of experience in repairing industrial processing equipment in a production setting is required; military experience is also considered.
- Candidates must successfully complete UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment to qualify for employment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics is necessary.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding maintenance documentation in English is required.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office are essential.
- Experience with Lockout/Tagout procedures is required.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed; a valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Capability to lift up to 80 lbs is necessary.
