About The Goddard School
The Goddard School is a place where children can grow and develop in a safe, dynamic, and nurturing environment. Our school is committed to providing a high-quality early childhood education that prepares children for success in school and in life.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $15-$18 per hour, with the possibility of higher pay based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide 40 hours of work per week, full support from our directors and resources to be successful in the classroom, paid holidays after 90 days, and paid time off (PTO). We also offer a 401(k) plan with employer matching after one year of employment, as well as $200 per month toward the health insurance plan of your choosing.
Teach Scholarship Participation
We participate in the Teach Scholarship program, which pays for 90% of your CDA, AA, or BS in Early Childhood Education. This program is designed to help you achieve your career goals and become a lead teacher and beyond.
Responsibilities
As an assistant teacher, you will work with a lead teacher as part of the teaching team to encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the school. Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and Maintaining a Safe Environment: You will be responsible for creating a safe and healthy learning environment for all children.
- Supporting Social and Emotional Development: You will work with each child to support their social and emotional development, helping them to become confident and joyful learners.
- Establishing Positive Relationships: You will establish positive relationships with children, parents, and faculty members, working together to create a supportive and inclusive community.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma is required for this position.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to listen and follow up on issues constructively.
- Dependability and Adaptability: You will need to be dependable and adaptable, able to work productively without supervision and handle stressful situations professionally.
