Strategic Sourcing Category Manager for Software and SaaS Solutions

About the Role:

KPMG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Category Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for driving complex, enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for software and SaaS solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for software and SaaS solutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to craft and execute contracts that meet the unique needs of our organization.
  • Develop innovative supplier negotiation strategies to optimize spend and maximize buying power.
  • Identify, rationalize, and optimize opportunities within the realm of enterprise software and SaaS infrastructure.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and continuously monitor current business trends, industry changes, cost drivers, global pricing, market conditions, and economic indicators.
  • Manage specific supplier relationships, ensuring ongoing performance management, quality control, cost optimization, and adherence to contractual commitments.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management, with a focus on software and SaaS commodities.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field is required; MBA or advanced degree from an accredited college/university preferred.
  • Deep understanding of software trends, commercial models, and industry-specific terminology.
  • Proven track record of leading complex sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
