Position Summary:
This management position is essential for overseeing and orchestrating the operations of the service department. The Service Dispatcher collaborates closely with the Service Manager to guarantee optimal customer service, manage daily operations, and facilitate seamless communication between clients and technicians.
Compensation & Benefits:
This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $20, complemented by a monthly productivity bonus, with payments made biweekly. Employees also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and discounts on products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and allocate tasks to service technicians based on their availability, expertise, and workload.
- Engage with customers to collect necessary information and arrange service appointments.
- Ensure technicians are equipped with the required parts and tools to perform their tasks.
- Track and update the status of service orders using computerized systems.
- Follow up with clients to confirm satisfaction and resolve any issues.
- Maintain precise records of service orders, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Oversee and evaluate technician productivity and performance.
- Assist in creating and executing training programs for service technicians.
- Ensure a clean and organized service department environment.
- Comply with all company and industry safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in the automotive field and/or dispatching is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficient in computer skills, including familiarity with service management software.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Understanding of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
