Job Summary

As a seasoned culinary professional, you will lead the kitchen operations for the Senate Dining Room and Capitol with Restaurant Associates. Your responsibilities will include managing a dedicated culinary team, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment, and overseeing the preparation and presentation of meals. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and creativity, serving distinguished guests and contributing to the dining experience in one of the nation's most iconic institutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that meet corporate standards and guidelines
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment
  • Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies, ensuring that necessary products are available when needed
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • Extensive catering experience a plus
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable
