Automation Systems Engineer

Raytheon Careers is seeking an experienced Automation Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for our Smart Digital Factory and Automation (SDF&A) team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the factory to identify and develop process automation systems and digital solutions.
  • Integrate equipment with business systems for performance monitoring, data collection, and/or transactional automation.
  • Manage the project lifecycle from requirements generation to technical project management to execution and sustainment of automation projects.
Requirements:
  • BS in an Engineering field or the sciences (STEM)
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations/engineering, systems engineering, controls engineering, and/or automation engineering
  • Experience programming Rockwell PLCs
  • Experience with automation mechanisms, controls, robotics, troubleshooting, and/or vision systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS in engineering
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Rockwell PLC experience
  • Python or other scripting experience
  • Experience with control systems design (AutoCAD preferred)
