Job Summary

The Business Analyst II serves as a key liaison between Technology Services and business stakeholders, driving requirements gathering sessions and ensuring that business needs are clearly articulated and understood. This role collaborates with the quality assurance and development team to deliver quality products, working closely with various system integration teams and requiring hands-on knowledge of integration patterns, including change data management, microservices, APIs, and data mapping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as Business Analyst in support of multiple applications, identifying changes to the business that may impact the current solution.
  • Partners with business stakeholders and data governance to identify data quality gaps and recommend prioritization.
  • Drives requirements and definition sessions with business users and development teams, creating documents, workflows, and other artifacts to capture and communicate business and data requirements.
  • Collaborates within the Scrum team to provide clear understanding and context of business needs and project requirements, supporting both Agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Stays current on information published by organizations and individuals leading and influencing the practice of Business Analysis, contributing ideas to product backlogs to resolve ongoing issues and reduce technical debt.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Information Systems, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of Business or Integration Analyst experience with application development and other IT projects.
  • 5+ years of creating requirements documentation in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative and consensus-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Experience with incident and task management tools.
  • Basic understanding of application technologies.
  • Experience with legacy ERP computer system operations and.NET-based development tools.
Work Environment

Pet-friendly environment with extensive computer work and occasional travel to remote facilities up to 10% of the time.
