Job Summary

The Business Analyst II serves as a key liaison between Technology Services and business stakeholders, working closely with them to analyze requirements and develop documented specifications for application changes and new initiatives. This role collaborates with the quality assurance and development teams to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support multiple existing and future applications as a Business Analyst.
  • Monitor business changes that may impact current solutions, including new products, business lines, acquisitions, reorganizations, and system changes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and data governance to identify data quality gaps and recommend prioritization.
  • Drive requirements and definition sessions with business users and development teams.
  • Create documents, workflows, process flows, and other artifacts to capture, communicate, and align business and data requirements.
  • Help define and create standardized processes for requirements gathering.
  • Collaborate with Scrum teams to provide clear understanding and context of business needs and project requirements.
  • Support both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Stay current on Business Analysis best practices and contribute ideas to product backlogs to resolve issues and reduce technical debt.
  • Diagnose underlying issues and perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Information Systems, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of Business or Integration Analyst experience with application development and IT projects.
  • 5+ years of creating requirements documentation in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience conducting requirements gathering workshops and supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with ecommerce, CRM, and ERP systems, as well as Apache Kafka and.NET-based development tools.
Competencies
  • Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Incident and task management tools.
  • Basic understanding of application technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Pet-friendly environment.
  • Extensive computer work.
  • Occasional travel to remote facilities up to 10% of the time.
