Supply Chain Analyst

Position Overview:
A Logistics Analyst employs analytical techniques and a range of tools to comprehend, forecast, and manage logistics operations and processes. This role involves data oversight, performance analysis, problem identification, and crafting recommendations that aid logistics management. The analyst resolves issues by evaluating potential actions within the framework of management's objectives and standards. All tasks are expected to be completed within designated timeframes. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual, detail-oriented, capable of supporting multiple projects and logistics functions, possesses outstanding communication skills, collaborates effectively within a team, interacts with various levels and functions within the logistics organization, and manages vendor and business relationships proficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- 25% Generate and assess reports to facilitate business operations.
- 25% Create business tools and solutions based on expertise, product knowledge, or technology while identifying opportunities for logistics process enhancement.
- 15% Foster vendor and business partner relationships.
- 15% Develop and sustain cost estimates, forecasts, and financial models.
- 10% Conduct data management through a combination of data mining, modeling, analysis, cost/benefit evaluation, and problem analysis, while executing daily responsibilities related to the area of focus.
- 10% Assist the business through ad-hoc inquiries and maintain reports from various resources as per departmental or organizational requirements.
Managerial Structure:
- No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Travel Expectations:
- Generally requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Demands:
- Most time is spent seated comfortably, with frequent opportunities for movement. Occasionally, there may be a need to lift or move light items.
Work Environment:
- Positioned in a comfortable indoor setting. Any adverse conditions would be infrequent and manageable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or Finance.
- Experience with Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Visio.
- Advanced skills in Mini-Tab, Access, SQL, and Visual Basic for data acquisition and analysis.
Educational Background:
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent in a relevant field.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience.
Leadership Experience:
- No prior leadership experience required.
Certifications:
- No specific certifications required.
