Job Opportunity: Behavior Interventionist

Cortica is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Interventionist to join its team of professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences.

About the Role:

The Behavior Interventionist will provide direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend Cortica's orientation and complete the Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) training
  • Provide direct implementation of behavior-analytic services to children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in both 1:1 and group settings
  • Implement positive behavior strategies as developed and analyzed with the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Work in various settings, including the home, community, school, clinic, or other designated locations, providing direct behavior-analytic care as determined in the child's assessment and treatment plan
  • Fulfill all documentation requirements, including data collection and session notes
  • Assist with individualized assessment procedures through preference assessments and data collection
  • Collaborate with families and supervisors to establish an environment supportive of treatment and education across all settings of care
  • Follow Cortica's crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies and first aid
  • Represent Cortica in a professional manner, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably those with autism
  • Bachelor's degree in a human service field or related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification or willingness to obtain BCAT credential within 45 days
  • Valid North Carolina Driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in software and systems, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for safeguarding patient information

Compensation:

The base direct pay range for this position is $20.08 to $26.94, with compensation adjusted based on relevant experience, education level, and location.
