Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Behavior Interventionist to join our growing team. As a Behavior Interventionist, you will provide direct behavior therapy services to individuals with autism and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Key Responsibilities- Attend Cortica's orientation and complete the Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) training
- Implement positive behavior strategies as developed and analyzed with the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Work in various settings, including homes, communities, schools, and clinics, providing direct behavior-analytic care as determined in the child's assessment and treatment plan
- Document all interactions, including session notes and data collection
- Assist with individualized assessment procedures through preference assessments and data collection
- Collaborate with families and supervisors to establish an environment supportive of treatment and education
- Follow Cortica's crisis and emergency procedures, including de-escalation strategies and mandated reporting
- Experience working with children, preferably those with autism
- Bachelor's degree in a human service field or related field; relevant work experience or students enrolled in undergraduate studies will be considered
- Current Registered Behavior Technician or Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification or willingness to obtain the BCAT credential via Cortica's training program within the first 45 days
- Valid North Carolina Driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in using software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products

CompensationThe base direct pay range for this position is $20.08 to $26.94, with compensation adjusted based on relevant experience, education level, and location.
