Systems Engineer (All Experience Levels)

Key Responsibilities:

DCCA is seeking cleared Systems Engineers (SE) across all experience levels for various ongoing and upcoming contracts, supporting the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.

Essential Qualifications:

  • We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated to contribute to national security and are eager to be part of a growing organization.
  • A willingness to learn new methodologies or tools, or to enhance existing skill sets.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team or lead a group of engineers.
  • Provide and implement recommendations for intricate systems.
  • Analyze user requirements, operational concepts, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Lead design and development activities while analyzing system requirements. Guide users in formulating requirements, advising on alternative solutions, and conducting feasibility studies.
  • Offer technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develop technical documentation.
  • Create system architecture and design documentation.
  • Guide system development and implementation planning through the preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Engage with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated challenges.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) is preferred.

A majority of positions align with the following experience criteria:

  • SE 0 – No prior experience required with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • SE 1 – 7+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • SE 2 – 14+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 19 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • SE 3 – 20+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 25 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in an Agile development environment, including sprint planning.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and/or certifications.
  • Experience in leading a team of engineers.
  • Knowledge of big data and analytics.
  • Experience in Computer Network Operations (CNO).
  • Understanding of security protocols.
  • Experience with DevOps practices.

Required Education / Certifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in a technically relevant field is mandatory.
