Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Direct and manage transportation projects, ensuring timely completion within the defined scope and budget.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a diverse team of engineers, planners, and professionals, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Financial Management: Oversee project budgets and resources, optimizing profitability.
  • Quality Control: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expert advice in transportation planning, design, and construction.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Preferred Connecticut Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility for reciprocity.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation project management.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation planning, design, and construction.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microstation, and OpenRoads is preferred.
  • Experience in preparing proposals and managing project budgets is essential.
  • Knowledge of CTDOT project design requirements and plan preparation guidelines is required; familiarity with other New England states is a plus.
