Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ride Mechanic to join our team at Universal Orlando. As a Ride Mechanic, you will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of animation, special effects, and ride/show mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks as prescribed by OEM and UO Engineering Specifications to ensure the reliability and safety of our ride systems.
  • Inspections and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough inspections of ride systems and troubleshoot issues to identify and repair problems efficiently.
  • Repair and Modification: Perform repairs and modifications to ride systems as needed to maintain show quality and ensure guest safety.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications, and report labor hours in Maximo.
  • Training and Qualification: Participate in training and qualification programs to ensure proficiency in ride system maintenance and repair.
  • Environmental, Health & Safety: Understand and adhere to UO's Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school degree or GED is required; technical school is preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in troubleshooting and repair of complex electro-mechanical systems, hydraulic and mechanical systems, either in the theme park industry or other industrial industries.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid Florida Driver's License is required to operate company vehicles.
