Position Overview:
As a Deputy Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant. Your focus will be on achieving targeted sales and profit margins while upholding company policies, procedures, and performance standards. You will guide restaurant staff to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and oversee employee responsibilities to maintain a quality work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the General Manager in planning and analyzing operational manpower.
  • Ensure achievement of profit targets while maximizing guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the proper handling of cash, credit card transactions, and gift cards.
  • Support in the planning and analysis of staffing needs, ensuring adequate training and development for all employees.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and onboarding of new hires.
  • Complete all coursework at the University of Perkins.
  • Maintain ServSafe certification.
  • Perform and assist in all roles within the restaurant.
  • Ensure menu items are prepared and presented according to established standards.
  • Monitor food temperatures during preparation and service to minimize food safety risks.
  • Manage staffing levels to meet productivity and service standards.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the facility and equipment, adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain inventory levels for food and non-food items in line with company policies.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Accountable for accurate financial reporting, including payroll and operating expenses.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings and present information as required.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in the food service sector.
  • High school diploma; some college education or degree preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with employees, guests, and vendors.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods; operate a cash register.
  • Exposure to various kitchen conditions including heat and odors.
  • Physical tasks include bending, reaching, and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry trays weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment.
