Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from $70,100 to $99,900 per year, depending on location. Job Description

This is a hybrid role where you'll be required to work in our New York City office three days a week. As a Reporter, you will use your editorial and analytical skills to cover a range of topics that cater to home buyers, sellers, renters, and experts in the housing market. Your tasks will include writing articles based on weekly and monthly expert analysis from our in-house Economics team, coming up with and pitching compelling ideas for articles that will drive audience growth, and uncovering exclusives within the residential real estate industry.

Responsibilities:
  • You must be able to write a set number of stories per day for Realtor.com's News & Insights section.
  • You will be pitching residential real estate stories on a daily basis and be able to uncover exclusives.
  • You will be working on reports that are steeped in economic data, so must be able to translate key insights to a consumer audience.
  • You will have a good understanding of the technical aspects of SEO and how to optimize content for search.
  • You will have a keen interest in the real estate industry, and must keep up to date on trends.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least three years working in online media or print journalism
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with content management systems
  • A solid understanding of SEO
  • Strong experience with social media
