Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Claims Representative to join our team. As a Claims Representative, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims on losses of lesser value and complexity. You will work closely with customers, agents, and internal stakeholders to provide quality claim handling throughout the claim life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completes required training to advance to Claims Professional, Outside Property
  • Investigates and evaluates claims, including analyzing leases, contracts, and other relevant documents
  • Establishes accurate scope of damages and utilizes as a basis for written estimates and/or computer-assisted estimates
  • Utilizes innovative technologies to streamline claim processing
  • Negotiates and conveys claim settlements within authority limits
  • Writes denial letters, Reservation of Rights, and other complex correspondence
  • Maintains diary system and captures all required data and documents claim file activities
  • Manages file inventory to ensure timely resolution of cases
  • Provides excellent customer service to meet the needs of the insured, agent, and internal customers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or a minimum of two years of work or customer service-related experience
  • Demonstrated ownership attitude and customer-centric response to all assigned tasks
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail ensuring accuracy
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
  • Analytical thinking and judgment/decision-making skills
  • Valid driver's license required
