Job Overview

POSITION TITLE: Patient Transport Specialist


EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Non-Exempt


SUMMARY OF ROLE: The Patient Transport Specialist is tasked with the safe and efficient transportation of patients across designated areas within the facility using a golf cart. A valid driver's license and a clean driving history are essential. Exceptional customer service abilities and effective communication skills with passengers are required.


REPORTING STRUCTURE: This position reports directly to the Office Manager.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This role does not include supervisory duties.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Safely transport patients to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
  2. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from the vehicle and golf cart.
  3. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the golf cart at all times.
  4. Conduct routine inspections of the golf cart to confirm it is functioning properly and report any issues to the maintenance department.
  5. Deliver outstanding customer service to passengers, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.
  6. Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Capable of operating various types of vehicles.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to follow instructions accurately.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is primarily outdoors, with potential exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, or rain.


PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: This role requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and stooping. The ability to lift weights ranging from 50 to 100 pounds may be necessary. There is a possibility of exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.
