Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Enrollment Center to join our team at Tri C Company Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of assigned staff and operations of the Enrollment Center, with a strong focus on student-centered services in a continuous quality improvement mode.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of staff, ensuring excellent customer service and quality of work.
  • Responsible for admissions, registration, cashiering, financial transactions, and student records processing.
  • Provide leadership and staff supervision for campus enrollment management activities.
  • Participate in college-wide enrollment management initiatives and collaborate with other departments.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Director, College Hospitality and Retail Operations for consistent College-wide cashiering financial transactions functions.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Prepare and run reports, including monthly financial reports, to monitor and analyze departmental performance.
  • Resolve student enrollment services issues and respond to student inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and respond to customer service issues, ensuring high-quality service delivery and student interaction.
  • Interface with students on installment plan arrangements, payment terms, payment due dates, and late fee charges.
  • Interface with the Attorney General's Office regarding assigned delinquent student accounts.
  • Interface with the Student Accounting department regarding issues and problems on student accounts.
  • Supervise the charging of miscellaneous student payments, including parking fines, library charges, academic program charges, and special event registration.
  • Maintain and control petty cash operations for the campus and ensure the security of cash and deposits.
  • Manage the day-to-day campus operation of the My Tri-C Card, including issuing cards, collecting cash, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Utilize process review and redesign techniques to establish best practices and procedures.
  • Monitor and review department budget and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in processing academic records and provide leadership for the interpretation of College procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge, understanding, and adherence to applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulatory requirements, and College policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate campus cross-registration procedures and follow up with area universities.
  • Review and determine approval or denial of student residency petitions.
  • Track U-Pass stickers and RTA monthly reconciliation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or significant related experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in a college/university business office, bursar's office, or in a financial capacity in the banking industry.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing responsibilities and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising, planning, assigning, scheduling, and ensuring the quality of the work of others.
  • Demonstrated experience assisting with budget planning and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem-solving methods in a variety of situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a college/university business office, bursar's office, or financial management experience in a banking office or branch.
  • Possess strong understanding of a College or University setting and operations.
  • Proficient with Banner ERP system.
  • Possess familiarity with Total Quality Management principles and practices.
