Job Summary

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority seeks a seasoned executive to serve as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic direction of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Develop and implement strategic asset management plans for preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement of Airports Authority assets
  • Collaborate with governmental agencies to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Establish and execute administrative policies and procedures to ensure the efficiency of programs and personnel
  • Develop and implement emergency development plans and ensure associated training is maintained
  • Provide logistical support and guidance to all departments during emergencies
  • Coordinate and work on security and TSA-related issues
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing performance and meeting or exceeding established business performance benchmarks
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Valid state driver's license in good standing
  • Commercial orientation and ability to make calculated changes in processes
  • Leading people and driving results
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising seasoned staff in a commercial and/or retail environment
  • Knowledge of strategic business planning, organizational change strategies, and performance measurement
  • Ability to make decisions and develop innovative approaches to deal with frequent changes, unexpected events, conflicts, and uncertain situations
