Job Summary

The Guest Service Specialist position at See Rock City Inc offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a boutique lodging experience. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service, interacting with guests, and performing various tasks to ensure a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Deliver excellent guest service to internal and external customers, modeling the organization's mission, culture, and values.
  • Guest Interaction: Interact with guests on property, via email, and phone to assist with inquiries and needs.
  • Transaction Processing: Process transactions, including retail sales, deposits, and general payments.
  • Cash Handling: Engage in general cash-handling procedures.
  • Property Maintenance: Regularly inspect property for issues or needs, notifying the manager of any maintenance concerns.
  • Food Service: Set up, maintain, and operate morning and evening food service.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean and stock bathrooms, and maintain non-guest room areas.
  • Check-in/Check-out: Coordinate and facilitate guest check-ins and check-outs.
  • Security: Ensure property and assets are kept secure at all times.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Experience: Previous related experience preferred, in lodging, hospitality, or a related field, and a willingness to receive training.
  • Personality: Possess a kind personality, the desire to contribute to a great team, and the ability to display a professional, engaging, and polite image to guests and team partners.
  • Communication: Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations, knowing that feedback and input are important to the team.
  • Operational Documents: Ability to read and understand operational documents.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with a team in a fast-paced, efficient environment.
  • Schedule: Ability to provide a flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
  • Physical Demands: Required to regularly use hands and fingers, lift/move up to 40 pounds, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently, and stand regularly.
