About the Role

Milestones is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Behavior Analyst to join our team of professionals. As an Assistant Behavior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in applying the principles of behavior analysis to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities or other educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze problem behavior procedures for all students in their classroom, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Review and analyze reinforcement systems, ensuring staff are implementing them correctly and consistently, and providing training and support as needed.
  • Review and analyze behavior intervention plans, ensuring staff are implementing them correctly and consistently, and providing training and support as needed.
  • Provide potential solutions to staff and carry out action plans to address concerns through the Problem Prevention Team (PPT) process.
  • Assist Behavior Analysts in writing and updating behavior plans as appropriate through the PPT process.
  • Create and maintain student write-ups, providing detailed information on student progress and behavior.
  • Review and analyze student graphs, identifying areas of concern and providing potential solutions and action plans.
  • Provide initial training in basic principles of behavior analysis to all staff, including supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and provide ongoing support and training as needed.
  • Apply Behavior Analytic strategies to improve staff performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Participate in staff evaluation process in conjunction with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Collect Interobserver Agreement (IOA) data, identifying areas of concern and providing potential solutions and action plans.
  • Participate in student program reviews, providing input and recommendations for improving student outcomes.
  • Participate in student home programming when applicable, working with families and staff to develop and implement effective behavior plans.
  • Graph for one student and analyze other data/graphs, identifying areas of concern and providing potential solutions and action plans.
  • Be available to review current systems, take IOA data, assist with crisis management and emergency procedures, and provide support to staff as needed.
  • Substitute for Special Education teachers when they are out of the classroom.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
  • Remain flexible to the needs of classrooms and provide a variety of support as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism with students and staff, providing a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Hold and maintain Board certification as an Assistant Behavior Analyst.
  • Meet all supervision requirements as specified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Have 2 years of experience providing behavior analytic services to individuals with autism or other developmental delays, preferred.
  • Excellent professional, leadership, organizational, and communication skills (both written and oral).
