The primary responsibility of the Behavioral Support Specialist is to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to assist individuals with complex behavioral challenges. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning atmosphere while collecting data and providing constructive feedback related to each individual's tailored program.

- Deliver ABA therapy to individuals with pronounced behavioral requirements.
- Adhere to the established Treatment and Behavior Support Plan.
- Comply with all relevant regulations and organizational policies.
- Gather and document behavioral and skill acquisition data.
- Maintain session notes through the designated documentation system.
- Ensure all training certifications are up to date.
- Communicate professionally and promptly with colleagues, supervisors, family members, and other stakeholders.
- Assist the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in organizing client-related materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Safeguard the rights and safety of individuals by following privacy regulations and reporting any incidents of abuse or neglect.
- Respond to emergencies and behavioral crises as required.
- Ensure a comfortable and secure environment for individuals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating sound judgment and initiative.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with significant behavioral challenges.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Physical stamina to perform PMT holds.
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals as necessary.
- Capacity to provide personal care, including assistance with toileting, bathing, feeding, and transferring individuals.
The Kennedy Collective is committed to the professional growth of all new hires, offering a comprehensive orientation and training program. Here’s what you can expect:
- Two-week orientation including agency introduction, site tours, and employer-sponsored CPR & PMT certification.
- Two weeks of role-specific training and shadowing at your designated worksite.
- Regular check-ins with Human Resources after your initial 30, 60, and 90 days.
