Insurance Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Account Manager to join our team at IMA Financial Group. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining overall responsibility of the entire renewal process for all existing accounts, supporting in winning new business and setting up new accounts, and maintaining intimate knowledge of clients' business operations, strategies, and needs throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain overall responsibility of the entire renewal process for all existing accounts
- Support in winning new business and setting up new accounts
- Maintain intimate knowledge of clients' business operations, strategies, and needs throughout the year
- Kick-off the client renewal process by creating the Game Plan and completing a coverage analysis (if applicable) and conducting thorough reviews of the policies and all relevant documents
- Prepare for and facilitate meetings with key IMA stakeholders and clients
- Craft the marketing strategies, reviews submissions, and engages in negotiations with underwriters to determine the relevant content to include in proposals
- Pursue mastery of the craft through on-going education and awareness of industry trends, products, and services
- Develop and maintain carrier relationships
- Manage a book of business with $1 Million - $1.5 Million in revenue
- Play a lead role on three or more large/complex client accounts
- Support and demonstrate IMA's core values
- Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, broker experience preferred
- Ability to think strategically based on clients' priorities and marketplace cycle
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience leading and developing people
- Ability to delegate and hold team & partners accountable
- Experience working within Applied Epic preferred
- Experience with MS Office products required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Travel required (up to 40% based on client book of business)
- Maintain increased technical knowledge both insurance industry and book of clients industry
- Holds at least one general insurance designation
- Pursuing formal specialty designation (ARM, CPCU, Industry specific designation) preferred
- Organized, goal-oriented, results-achiever with strong negotiation capabilities and ability to strategically align client expectations with marketplace cycle
