Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Director to oversee and enhance our supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute supply chain strategies to ensure efficient operations and achievement of organizational objectives.
- Manage daily activities of the Supply Chain Team, ensuring timely and effective task execution.
- Engage with suppliers to negotiate optimal contracts and pricing, focusing on value and total cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with your team and suppliers to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives for existing materials.
- Maintain a comprehensive supplier quality management system to evaluate supplier performance, including quality metrics and delivery timelines.
- Oversee supplier issue resolution and ensure accountability through documented corrective actions.
- Enhance warehousing operations, including shipping, receiving, and material handling, to boost productivity while ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Lead the production planning team in developing efficient labor and machine resource plans to meet customer demands.
- Manage inventory levels to mitigate production risks while maximizing turnover rates.
- Coordinate with Product Design and Program Management teams to optimize sourcing and integration of new and existing products into the supply chain.
- Assist in making informed make/buy decisions in collaboration with the organization.
- Establish and implement IT infrastructure to support supply chain operations effectively.
- Recruit and train staff as necessary, fostering a high-performing Supply Chain Team.
- Monitor departmental KPIs, including on-time delivery, inventory turnover, productivity, and cost trend analyses, to inform stakeholders and drive business decisions.
- Benchmark supply chain operations against industry standards and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, production planning, and global logistics.
- Familiarity with the electronic manufacturing sector, including materials and processes.
- Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on results, issue resolution, and target achievement.
- Exceptional planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 10%).
- Strong understanding of IT systems relevant to supply chain management, including ERP, MES, and WMS.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret legal documents, such as contracts.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks, maintain focus, and adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor team members effectively.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience in a manufacturing supply chain environment.
- Direct experience with ERP systems.
