Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Support Specialist to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a well-merchandised store, and supporting the sales floor team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a well-merchandised store, including cash reconciliation, inventory processes, and visual merchandising.
  • Support the sales floor team, including assisting with on-boarding of new team members, participating in truck un-load and stocking processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs.
  • Operate cash register and perform line busting as assigned.
  • Assist customers with product location and provide solutions to meet their needs.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time and move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a well-merchandised store. The work environment includes a public retail store setting, with all public areas being climate-controlled. Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled, and some outdoor work may be assigned to retrieve shopping carts or unload trucks.
