Position Summary

Planet Fitness is currently seeking a reliable and proficient Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our fitness centers in the greater Austin, TX area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently install, maintain, and repair fitness equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform upkeep tasks including painting, landscaping, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, and plumbing across all locations.
  • Conduct inspections of alarm systems to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to schedule necessary maintenance services.
  • Be available for on-call maintenance emergencies.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Travel is required; a valid driver's license is necessary. Company-provided transportation will be available.
  • Reimbursement for travel time will be provided.
Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in using tools and familiar with common appliances and devices.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Maintain the company vehicle in excellent condition.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Must be available for on-call maintenance emergencies, including nights, early mornings, and weekends.
