JOB SCOPE:
The Salon Partnership Executive (SPE) plays a pivotal role in fostering growth and development within the local Stylist and Salon community by providing premier products, education, and innovations that the professional beauty sector has to offer.
The SPE is tasked with achieving and surpassing sales targets within their designated territory by utilizing brand-supported education, promotional sales initiatives, and professional business growth strategies.
This role involves collaboration with our OMNI channels and brand partners to organize essential educational and training events that stimulate promotional opportunities in salons and retail locations.
Engage in key industry trade shows and events alongside clients and prospects to strengthen and deepen customer relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
CONSULTATIVE SALES:
Salon Business Development – Utilizes our OMNI channel support teams to identify, cultivate, and enhance salon relationships through customized and comprehensive business plans tailored for our local Salon Partners.
Works closely with small business proprietors within an assigned area to devise a roadmap for sustained success.To influence existing partnerships and attract new ones by leveraging our industry-leading tools and expertise to boost market share.
Promote and implement our innovative multi-faceted business strategies and services to establish trustworthy and profitable long-term partnerships within the assigned territory.
Conduct regular consultations and meetings with salon owners to comprehend their objectives, challenges, and opportunities, providing tailored solutions and support.
Utilize our OMNI channel approach encompassing in-salon, in-store, and e-commerce business channels to deliver a comprehensive service and meet our clients' needs effectively.
Collaborate with internal business leaders to formulate and execute sales strategies, educational initiatives, and promotional activities.Monitor and evaluate sales performance and market trends to pinpoint opportunities for growth and enhancement, particularly concerning salon business partnerships.
Accountable for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the defined geographical territory and all assigned accounts.EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Enhances salon business success by coordinating and collaborating with our internal brand partners to schedule, promote, and deliver educational and promotional events, including area classes, industry shows, virtual workshops, and in-salon training.
Partner with salon leadership to devise and implement training and educational planning meetings based on the needs and aspirations of salon owners and their teams.
Integrate third-party partners to enhance clients' business acumen, leading to more stable salon operations.Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to maintain a competitive advantage, especially regarding salon business dynamics.
Coordinate and facilitate training and educational sessions and workshops tailored for beauty partners, specifically designed to address the needs and interests of salon business owners.
Utilize company resources and tools to leverage loyalty programs for salons and stylists.ADMINISTRATION & PLANNING:
Oversees remote-order entry using company-provided tools along with other administrative responsibilities as required. Actively participates in all regional and national sales meetings.
Effectively harness the power of digital platforms and social media to engage and influence the local salon and stylist community, driving sales growth.
Manage all administrative aspects of the role promptly, including daily order entry and regular updates of customer information and activities within our sales reporting systems.
Responsible for monitoring product diversion by continually assessing and ensuring the appropriate quantity of products ordered by each customer based on their size, client count, and the number of service providers within the salon/spa.
Provide regular updates and reports to internal stakeholders regarding the progress and effectiveness of beauty partner programs, with a specific focus on small business relationships.
REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
A minimum of one (1) year of demonstrated outside sales experience or beauty industry experience with a focus on consultative selling.
Proven consultative and customer service skills.
Demonstrated understanding and ability to leverage social media effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
Must be highly organized, adaptable, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
Possess a valid state driver's license, a good driving record, and meet required auto insurance policy levels.
Must reside within the assigned sales territory.
This position entails frequent and sometimes extended driving, walking, and standing. Professional judgment is required during all business activities.
Excellent computer skills are necessary, particularly with Windows-based (MS Office) systems and applications.
Knowledge of the beauty industry is a plus, along with an understanding of social media usage.
This role will involve significant travel, up to 75%, to cover accounts within the assigned geographical area.
This position requires intermittent supervision as the incumbent will primarily work independently in the field.
This role necessitates direct interaction with salons and independent stylists, requiring quick decision-making and negotiation skills, with managerial approval for key decisions.
This position involves substantial travel, up to 75%, to current and prospective clients.Attendance at conventions, shows, educational classes, and other special events may require overnight travel and/or weekend commitments.
All work may necessitate the lifting of promotional materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds, which may also require bending.
