Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Representative to join our team at InterMed, P.A. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support, ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming phone calls and redirect calls as needed
  • Schedule routine and follow-up patient appointments
  • Reschedule or cancel appointments as required
  • Confirm future appointments and provide general practice information to patients
  • Assist patients with prescription refill requests and referral requests
  • Respond to patient and external customer requests via incoming phone call, adhering to established processes and protocols
  • Act as a champion of the patient experience, striving for first call resolution with every patient interaction
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to support patients using a calm demeanor, compassion, and empathy
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent professional judgment
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Active listening skills and ability to proficiently use telephone system
  • Excellent typing and computer ability while maintaining a telephone conversation
  • Ability to consistently meet and adhere to performance and quality metrics
  • Ability to demonstrate and uphold InterMed's Values
Work Environment

This is a 4-day per week position, requiring on-site, in-person training, which is provided and expected to take 3-4 weeks depending on experience. State of Maine residence is required.
