About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director to join our Shared Living and Outreach team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in creating environments that support individuals with developmental disabilities to live safe, enjoyable, and meaningful lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals in finding suitable housing and supporting them through the application process and lease agreements.
  • Oversee systems to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and ensure our programs run smoothly and effectively.
  • Support individuals with completing important paperwork for MassHealth, DTA, housing applications, and more.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, doctors, hospitals, and community agencies to ensure the best care for individuals.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Department of Developmental Services and the individuals you work with.
  • Collaborate with leadership to coordinate program activities and ensure we're working together towards our goals.
  • Prepare for success by overseeing the application process for potential shared living providers.
  • Provide administrative support for both our outreach and shared living programs.
  • Respond in emergency situations and ensure everyone stays safe.
  • Maintain confidentiality and enforce program regulations at all times.
  • Make decisions in crisis situations and communicate professionally and timely with all necessary parties.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records for individuals.

Qualifications
  • Three years' experience working with people who have developmental delays or brain injuries.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license for at least six months and a good driving record.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Physical ability to help residents and keep them safe.
  • Training in MAP (Medication Administration Program), PABC, and/or First Aid is a plus.
