Job Title: Community Living Specialist 1

At Viability, Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Community Living Specialist 1 to join our team. This role is responsible for providing direct outreach services to individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and/or Late Deafened, enabling them to achieve greater independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with consumers to assist them in achieving self-fulfillment through their life goals and desires.
  • Provide direct outreach services to individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and/or Late Deafened.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting individuals with disabilities.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and a working knowledge of Deaf culture.
  • High School/GED plus 2-3 years related or lived experience, or Associate's degree plus 1 year related experience and/or training.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, use of vehicle, and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle.
  • Ability to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices, and community organizations.
