About the Role

Creative Financial Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join their team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all General Ledger activities and projects throughout the month, reviewing monthly G/L reconciliations and analysis, and verifying accuracy of data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all General Ledger activities and projects throughout the month.
  • Review monthly G/L reconciliations and analysis, verify accuracy of data, identify, report and correct any errors.
  • Responsible for the monthly closing process and accurate posting of all monthly activity.
  • Work with direct reports/counterparts to close all financial applications at the end of each month.
  • Issue all monthly preliminary and final financial reports.
  • Coordinate all monthly and year-end financial close activities, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and period-end accruals.
  • Act as lead contact during all year-end audits in the US and Canada.
  • Act as functional back-up for all compliance related activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance.
  • Previous Public Accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel knowledge.
  • Experience with Oracle is a plus.
Location and Compensation

This position is full-time onsite in Stamford, CT, and offers a competitive salary of $115,000-$120,000 depending on experience.
