Job Summary

Desert Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Manager to lead our Acute Care Float Pool team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Acute Care Float Pool team, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of respect and open communication.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Monitor and manage staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current California RN License
  • Minimum of 3 years acute care clinical experience
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present self in a positive and professional manner
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS training
  • Current NIHSS certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN
  • Previous management experience
