Job Title: Psychiatric Technician

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Technician plays a vital role in our team, providing support and care to patients with behavioral health and psychiatric disorders. This role involves collecting and recording private health information, conducting mental status examinations, and collaborating with medical and behavioral health professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and record patient information, including medical and behavioral health data
  • Conduct mental status examinations and document results
  • Collaborate with medical and behavioral health professionals to develop treatment plans
  • Provide support and care to patients with behavioral health and psychiatric disorders
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings to review expectations, goals, and achievements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field (preferred)
  • Associate's degree and 3 years of relevant experience (alternative)
  • Valid driver's license and access to timely and reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs)
