Cardiovascular Technician

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting with cardiac catheterization, vascular diagnostic, and interventional procedures. You will also perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization, including IAB and temporary pacer insertion. You will work under the direction of a credentialed invasive cardiologist or radiologist, following established standards and practices.
Responsibilities- You will be responsible for recognizing and identifying potential and actual patient problems, collecting accurate data, and participating in the patient's care in accordance with departmental standards.
- You will prioritize resources to patient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate patient information and staff capabilities.
- You will demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as specific conditions, diseases, and treatment therapies for the patient populations we serve.
- You will assist in data collection related to cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, renal, and peripheral vascular status, and document findings and reports abnormal or out-of-range results to physicians.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- LPN with one year of experience in critical care, or one year of cath lab experience, or one year of RCIS or CVT, or graduate of accredited RCVT program
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
