The Market Data Associate reports directly to the Market Data Director in the Research & Market Data Services (RDS) department within Platform Services at Bain Capital. Our team provides best-in-class market data services and enables innovative research solutions globally for all investment teams and asset classes across the firm.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will serve as a project manager for key market data initiatives and strategic research initiatives. They will manage the data procurement and information lifecycle needs for Global Private Equity, Ventures, Tech Opps, Special Situations, Partnership Strategies, and Insurance. The candidate will lead on alternative data acquisitions associated with vendor risk reviews and use case support across the firm.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, complex problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will be comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy managing multiple projects and complex situations. A bachelor's degree from a respected institution is required, and 3+ years of experience in a market data, research, or operational role in a financial or consulting environment is preferred.
